Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer
Location: Shotton, Flintshire (CH5)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + bonus and excellent benefits
We’re recruiting an Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Shotton.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of asset reliability, improve plant availability and reduce unplanned downtime within a fast-paced process environment.
The role
You’ll work closely with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to develop a more proactive, data-led approach to asset care. Key responsibilities will include:
Developing risk-based preventative maintenance plans
Completing asset condition, criticality and obsolescence surveys
Maintaining an Asset Risk Register and delivering improvement plans
Using RCA, FMEA and RCM techniques to improve reliability and MTBF
Introducing and developing condition-monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography and lubrication analysis
Planning and coordinating maintenance shutdowns and line outages
Reviewing critical spares and improving inventory accuracy and availability
Supporting capital projects with scopes, business cases and acceptance criteria
Coaching operators in basic asset care and autonomous maintenance
Ensuring all work meets required health, safety, quality and environmental standards
What we’re looking for
HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
Practical engineering experience within manufacturing, process, production or another high-volume environment
Working knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA and RCM
Experience of preventative maintenance, CMMS scheduling and condition monitoring
Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to turn technical data into clear, practical maintenance actions
Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
A safety-focused and methodical approach
