Purchasing Administrator

  • Newcastle upon Tyne

  • Full time, office based, 37.5 hours a week

  • Initial 12 month contract; potential for permanent

  • Up to £25,000 per year

A Purchasing Administrator is wanted to join a leading engineering employer in the North East.

Based in the office (located on the banks of the River Tyne), you will support a busy Procurement department from an administration standpoint.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Experience within engineering / procurement / purchasing is essential

  • Commercial awareness

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills – the majority of work is processed on Excel

  • First-class attention to detail

  • An appreciation for world class customer service

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as the main administrative support for a busy procurement department, processing Purchase Orders, RFQs and supplier paperwork

  • Database input and maintenance

  • Manage the internal distribution process of key documentation between departments

  • Procurement data cleansing
