Salary: £26,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join their Trading team as a Trading Assistant / Trainee Trader, offering full training, long-term development, and the chance to build a career in a specialist and fast-moving industry.
The Role – Trading Assistant / Trainee Trader
Reporting directly to the Head of Trading, you will play a key support role within the busy Trading department. Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and maintaining metal positions in real time
Assisting with daily reconciliation of trading P&L
Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Handling customer enquiries with professionalism and confidence
Engaging in retail sales of bullion products
Supporting the trading team with administrative and operational tasks
Learning the fundamentals of precious metal trading, with structured on-the-job training provided
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), ideally in Economics, Mathematics or a related field
Interest or knowledge in commodity trading and/or small-scale engineering/manufacturing (advantageous)
Ability to work independently, use initiative, and generate ideas
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Sage products (Sage 200 in particular) would be an advantage
A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn—full training is provided
