UK Sales Manager – OEM Machinery

Salary: Competitive and negotiable depending upon experience

Location: UK Field based with occasional office visits


Summary

Are you an experienced, results driven sales manager with contacts within the machinery distribution network across the UK? We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong relationship management skills to manage and expand the distributor network in the UK, focusing on sales growth, customer satisfaction, and market penetration for a range of highly engineered products.


Role outline

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors and identify new partners.

  • Train and support distributors on product knowledge and sales strategies.

  • Conduct regular visits to distributor locations to provide on-site support.

  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for distributors and monitor performance against metrics.

  • Assess current distributors and end relationships with poorly performing partners.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop and implement strategies for the UK market.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.

  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management.

  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Background and skills

  • Sales experience of industrial machinery or similar

  • Engineering qualification

  • Business to business sales experience in the UK

  • Proven background in growing revenue-based distributor relationships in the UK

  • Used to frequent UK travel and attending trade shows

  • Valid UK driving licence


Only those who have the relevant experience of sales and business development within relevant OEM markets in the UK will be considered for this role.
