Facilities Technician
Location: Houghton Le Spring
Hours: Mon–Thurs 7:00–15:15, Fri 7:00–14:45
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Permanent Staff position
Joining a leading manufacturing site, you will help keep the plant running smoothly — maintaining equipment, managing contractors, and ensuring everything from boilers to lighting stays in excellent condition.
What you’ll do:
Carry out planned maintenance on boilers, compressors, air systems, and HVAC units
Look after lighting, doors, and general building repairs
Support fire, sprinkler, and safety systems testing
Ensure water and air systems meet safety and legal standards
Work with contractors to keep essential services up and running
What we’re looking for:
Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
Experience maintaining a manufacturing facility
