Independent Living Support Worker – British Sign Language (BSL)
Location: Spital Tongues, Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract Type: Permanent | Full & part-time considered
£12.72 per hour (rising to £15.01 per hour upon BSL qualification)
About the Role
We’re looking to build a new team of BSL (British Sign Language) Independent Living Support Workers to deliver exceptional care and support in a newly developed Independent Supported Living (ISL) scheme for two young adults.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a BSL-focused service that supports individuals transitioning from college into independent living. You’ll assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, attending health appointments, and encouraging social and community activities.

Willingness to complete BSL Level 1 (full training provided)
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is desirable
About the Home
The service is a two-bedroom house in a quiet residential area in Newcastle, within walking distance of the City Centre, St James’ Park, and Leazes Park, with excellent public transport links and on-site parking.
