Instrumentation Electrician
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 DOE + bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30 – 16.00
An established business is seeking a qualified Electrician to support plant operations and maintenance within a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
The Role
You’ll provide electrical, control, and instrumentation support to ensure plant reliability, efficiency, and compliance with strict safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on instrumentation, analysers, and control valves
Fault-find and troubleshoot electrical and control systems
Calibrate and maintain instrumentation equipment
Install and commission new electrical and instrumentation assets
Interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety procedures and legislation

Heavy industrial / process-led setting
Safety-critical and potentially hazardous areas
Requires a strong safety-first mindset
What You’ll Need
NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Electrical / Instrumentation (or equivalent)
18th Edition certification
Proven EC&I experience within an industrial or process environment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
Comfortable with shift work and on-call rota
