Lead Warehouse Operative
Outskirts of Colchester
Monday to Saturday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive, £26,000 - £28,000
Driving licence and own transport essential due to site location
Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client, a well-established and fast-growing organisation based in Earls Colne. Lead Warehouse Operative Job Role:
Supervise and support warehouse operatives to ensure efficient order fulfilment
Ensure all orders are processed in a timely and compliant manner
Act as the first point of contact for team members, escalating issues to senior management when needed
Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards at all times
Monitor and report on employee performance and progress against targets
Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse
Accurately pick and pack customer orders
Oversee container loading and unloading
Operate a forklift truck (where applicable) to move and store palletised stock
Placing pallets into racking
Replenishing stock locations
Loading/unloading containers
Lead Warehouse Operative Skills Required:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
Proven leadership experience in a similar supervisory role
Strong communication and team coordination skills
Good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Valid Forklift Truck Licence (desirable)
Valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to site location)
