Maintenance Engineer
£30,000 – £38,000 per year

Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, family-run business within the fresh produce sector. This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work in a supportive, multicultural environment where teamwork and high standards are valued.
You will play a vital role in ensuring machinery, equipment, and site facilities are maintained to a safe, reliable, and compliant standard, supporting smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and site facilities
Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions
Undertake general building maintenance (plumbing and electrical experience desirable)
Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and technical standards
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues clearly
Work closely with operational teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
Support site projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
(experience within food production, packhouse, or similar environments is advantageous)
Good understanding of health & safety requirements and safe working practices
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards
